For several years (I’ll check to see how many) we have held a Joint Meeting with the members of Mull Museum. Usually, the meetings are held in November, the Museum organising the meeting in even years and MH&AS in the odd years. Last Friday (13th March) we had the Joint Meeting postponed from November 2019. It was held in the Aros Hall and the catering was by Helen Swinbanks of Hebridean Lodge. The speaker was Gordon Allan, MD of The Sir Walter Scott Steamship Company at Loch Katrine. Gordon came to talk about the building of the water supply to Glasgow along with the work done to keep the steamship in operation. It was a great evening with great food, but sadly, the last meeting for a time due to Covid-19.
While I was browsing through the papers of the Society I found this little notice of the meeting of 2000.
