FREE CHURCH - TOBERMORY

The Established Church was in existence until the Disruption in 1843 when the Free Church was formed.

First met in Columba Buildings (now partly occupied by the Museum) but when the congregation grew too large they built a larger and more imposing place of worship in 1877-8 to a design of John Hay of Edinburgh.

Opened Jan 1st 1879.

Stained glass window gift of Alexander Allan of Aros.

Converted to Gallery in 1964.
