Aros Old Pier and Mill Buildings

Aros Park Pier

The pier, saw mill and dairy were built by the Allan family when they purchased Aros Park in the 1870's. Aros House or Drumfin, as it was originally called was built in 1825 and demolished in 1960. The old stone pier was where the fuel and food supplies would have been off-loaded for Aros House and  timber from the Estate would be loaded and sent into the town to be distributed to joiners and builders.
